We have no better model for being a disciple than Jesus Himself!  In this sermon, Lifestyle of Joyful Discipleship, Pastor Greg focuses on the narrative of Jesus' ministry to find Him merely going about the work God has called Him to do.  By looking at Jesus' action, we find a perfect model for us in our own discipleship. Jesus was a disciple everywhere He went, not eshcewing the brokenness of others, but counting it all joy to follow God.  This teaching was presented on Sunday, January 22, 2017.  This podcast is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, Louisiana.  Thank you for listening!

When Jesus called the disciples to follow Him, He called them to a reckless abandon of discipleship.  In this sermon entitled, For the Sake of the Call, Pastor Greg examines the scene in Matthew 4 by asking four questions of the situation.  These are four questions that can come to our mind when we are considering our own call to follow Jesus.  Why doesn't Jesus do everything Himself?  What does Jesus see in us?  Why should we follow the call?  What is the responsibility of the called disciple?  This teaching was presented on Sunday, January 15, 2017.  This podcast is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, Louisiana.  Thank you for listening!

Continuing through the book of Matthew, Pastor Greg comes to the first moments of Jesus' adult ministry.  After His baptism, Jesus is led into the wilderness to be tempted in Matthew 4.  In this sermon entitled Temptations to Failure, Pastor Greg examines the temptations of Christ and shows us how these temptations exist for all of those who would follow Jesus.  By understanding Jesus' response to temptation, we can learn to resist the devil and live victoriously in the kingdom of God.  This teaching was presented on Sunday, January 8, 2017.  This podcast is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, Louisiana.  Thank you for listening!
