Hebrews 11 is often referenced as the hall of faith.  Hebrews 12 makes the transition to a greater faith through Jesus Christ.  In this sermon from the Greater Than series, Pastor Whaley considers Jesus Himself as the greater faith.  He is the faith which receives the promise of sure salvation unknown to the prophets, the faith which can do its complete work, and the faith which can only be learned through obedience.  This teaching was presented on Sunday, August 21, 2016.  This podcast is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, Louisiana.  Thank you for listening!

We all know the biblical imagery in Revelation 21 used to describe heaven such as streets of gold and pearly gates.  Yet, immediately after those words, John give us a clearer picture of heaven that moves beyond mere physical description into the forever, kingdom life of the believer.  If we believe Jesus' prayer for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, then we can know what heaven is really like by seeing and living the kingdom life of Christ here and now.  This teaching was presented on Sunday, October 18, 2015.  This podcast is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, La.  Thank you for listening!

In this weeks sermon Pastor Greg Whaley speaks to the nature of Grace. Unless we have some idea of what Grace is and what it means we cannot be FULLY ALIVE. Using Ephesians 2:8-10, Pastor Whaley explains that Grace is: the language of Salvation, the gift of God, and the poem of our existence. Do you think of your life as a poem written by God? Perhaps by listening to this sermon, and the prompting of the Holy Spirit, you will see that you should.

This week Pastor Greg Whaley begins a new sermon series entitled "ALIVE". Pastor Whaley will use Ephesians 2 to answer fundamental questions about life including: "What does it mean to truly be alive?", "In whom is life found?", and "Why do we look in the wrong place for life?"

This weeks sermon entitled "The Desire for Life" will begin to help us understand what it means to truly be alive by asking two questions about death: "What is death?" and "What does death look like?" However, while time is necessarily given to the subject of death it is not the focus of this sermon. Pastor Whaley shows us in Ephesians 2 God's provision for us through Christ Jesus and the hope that is found in Him.
