In this final installment of the Monumental Series, Pastor Whaley examines the last verses of Romans 5 in a sermon entitled the Reign of Grace.  The reign of grace in a life is based on the eternal truth that disobedience and sin are inextricably linked, as are obedience and righteousness.  The reign of grace is an eternal design where grace is the anti-sin, perfectly suited to thwart sin.  Finally, the reign of grace requires an eternal surrender, not just once in a while but everyday.  This message was preached on Sunday, May 24, 2015.  This podcast is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, La.  Thank you for listening.

This week, Pastor Emeritus Bob Adams fills in for Pastor Whaley during our annual Senior Adult Sunday. Brother Bob speaks to us about the Love of Christ by looking at the implications of Jesus' first miracle, turning water into wine, found in John 2. Listen as Brother Bob explains to us how the Love of Christ brings abundant life, is better than all of our religious rituals, and will counter the effect of the "fall" by renewing the inner man.

This sermon was preached on Sunday, May 17, 2015. This podcast is a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, LA. Thank you for listening.

Mother's Day may cause us to be givers of gifts, but Romans 5 tells us about a gift that is completely unlike any other.  In this sermon from the Monumental series, Pastor Whaley explores Romans 5:12-17 where Paul contrasts the legacy of sin in Adam with the legacy of grace through Christ.  The gift of Adam is sin and the result of sin is always death.  But, the gift of Christ is grace and the result of His grace is always eternal life!  Grace is the gift like no other.  This message was preached on Sunday, May 10, 2015.  This podcast is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, La.  Thank you for listening!

During our annual Student Day service, Rev. Micah Collins spoke about the need for obedience to God's call on our lives. Using the unquestioning call of Matthew to follow Jesus, found in Luke 5:27-28, as a starting point, Brother Micah teaches us that obedience saves us and sustains us in our walk toward Christ-likeness. Brother Micah challenges the students to be obedient to Christ but he also challenges us to reach out and be obedient in our relationships to the students and ensuring that we support and encourage them in their Christian walk.

This sermon was preached on Sunday, May 3, 2015. This podcast is part of the teaching ministry of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, LA. Thank you for listening.
