In this last sermon of the year and final installment of the God in the Manger study, Pastor Greg Whaley invites us to look at the discovery journey of the Magi and compare that to our own journey toward the Divine. What are we looking for? What does the star signify? What will we find? The answer to these questions are an integral part of our Christmas season but more importantly our Christian walk.

In this last Sunday morning message before Christmas, Pastor Greg Whaley speaks to us about the Incarnation of the infinite into the finite. Pastor Whaley uses Matthew 1:21-23 to help us understand the true meaning of the Incarnation of Jesus by teaching us that the Incarnation expresses three distinct truths: God shows us how much He cares for us, God transforms humanity back into His likeness, and  God presents to us the Gospel. Do not miss this Christmas sermon which clearly proclaims the Emmanuel: God with us!

The story of Christ's birth is riddled with paradox, but non of them so great as the annunciation by the angelic choir to the shepherds. Never has so great a heavenly multitude given such important and royal news to a least likely group of people. However within the annunciation is the answer to the paradox. Listen as Pastor Whaley expounds upon Luke 2:8-20 and shows us the extent, clarity, and consistent message of God's annunciation to us about His Son.

Pastor Whaley turns to I Thessalonians 5:18 on this Thanksgiving Sunday to explore the act of thanksgiving in the life of the believer.  Understanding that thanksgiving is a full-time responsibility and it is the will of the Father that we should give thanks, Pastor Whaley goes on to considering the barriers to being a people of thanks before closing with the truth that thanksgiving only comes when we are thankful not merely for God's blessings to us but for Who God is.

Of all the mysteries of the Christmas story with which the modern mind struggles, none is perhaps more unbelievable than the virgin birth. It is a mystery not to be explained, but rather to be lived inside of. Pastor Whaley explores living in this mystery by looking at the words of Mary found in Luke 1:52-55. Christmas is full of the mystery of humility over pride, of poverty over wealth, and of mercy over judgment.
