Celebrating the Legacy

On Sunday, April 21, 2013 First Baptist Church of Bogalusa spent a day Celebrating the Legacy of Pastor Bob Adams. This podcast features Pastor Adams remarks during the morning service. Using Philippians 3:1-14 Pastor Adams reminds us that  the goal of our lives should be the continued and ever increasing realization that Christ is with us, in us, and empowering us.

Unfortunately Pastor Adams' remarks during the evening service were cut short due to technical difficulties and will not be uploaded. However, we have complete video copies of both services available upon request through the church office at 985.732.3756.

In his final sermon from the pulpit as as Pastor of First Baptist Church, Pastor Bob Adams speaks to us about the defining word of his life and pastorate, "Grace To You". Pastor Adams uses the final words of the Bible, Revelation 22:21, to  explore the depths of grace, as it relates to us, through the Godhead, our lives, and each other. This most profound of sermons about the manifestation of Gods love for us should not be missed.

What is the condition of your heart? Do you really and truly love? In this sermon, Pastor Adams explores the way love and light work together at the inmost depth of our being by expounding on 1 John 2:7-11. Within the context of 1 John Pastor Adams details the characteristics or true love by speaking about the brightness of our light: when we love others, how we show love, in the absence of love, how it guides us, and when it should burn brightest.

Extraordinary Aliveness

In this Resurrection Day sermon, Rev. Bob Adams asks the following questions: "What difference does it make in your daily life that Jesus is alive from the dead?" and "What relevance does Jesus have in your life on Tuesday morning?" . Rev. Adams answers these seminal questions about our faith by explaining that Jesus, by the nature of who He is and what He has done, is not just relevant because He deals with the painful, needy parts of our lives, but because He invites us to a life time journey with Himself.

This sermon was preached on Easter Sunday morning, March 31, 2013.  This podcast is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, LA.  Thank you for listening.
